Previously the Regional Educator for the Ales Group, creators of PHYTO Paris hair care, LIERAC skincare and Subtil salon color products, Amie Romero joins Janet St. Paul Studio for Hair and Beauty as a Junior Stylist.
During her time with the Ales Group, Amie trained and taught alongside the Paris-based company’s artistic director Anthony Cristiano, providing salons across the country expertise on PHYTO Academy Infinite cutting and coloring collections. Amie brings a great depth of experience to the Janet St. Paul Studio team, having spent so many years with PHYTO as one of their top trainers nationally. Coming from the hair care side, she has a strong understanding of the chemistry of hair, what works and how to take care of it in the best way possible, using the simplest and most direct haircare routine.
Amie has been recognized for her talents as a hair designer among several industry publications, featured recently on Behind the Chair for her balayage coloring techniques and D’ Lola Couture for her runway hair designs. Over Amie’s career of nearly ten years, she’s styled hair for several fashions shows, including Denver’s Red Ball Fashion Show benefiting the Colorado Aids Project for four consecutive years, as well as Denver fashion week. She’s also styled for designers Gino Velardi, Deedee Vicory of D’Loa Couture and House of Arden designs.
An outdoor adventure-seeker and nature lover, her journey as a stylist began near the Rocky Mountains in Denver, Colorado, where she developed her career as a hair designer while enjoying snowboarding, hiking, paddle boarding and skydiving. She is thrilled to be joining the Janet St. Paul team, where she intends to bring her extensive experience in the industry and inspiration to her new Austin clients.
