Self-care in 2023
It’s all about self-care in 2023 and everyone deserves it! any of us are resolving to make healthier choices, take better care of our bodies, and find ways to improve the way we look and feel. After a long career of standing behind the chair, experiencing her own chronic concerns, and listening to the needs of her clients, Janet St. Paul has an updated list of her trusted spaces to wind down.
Importance of Mental Health Awareness
1 in 5 Americans will experience a mental illness in a given year so it’s important to stay aware of how you’re feeling and to take care of yourself. Here are a few ways that you can take care of yourself this year:
- Find a therapist you feel comfortable expressing your thoughts to each week
- Take days off (It’s OK to stop working for one day, it’ll always be there!)
- Unplug while you’re on vacation
- Meditate, practice gratitude, and focus on positivity
- Find exercise classes that you enjoy
- Do what makes you happy! Spending time taking care of YOU is not selfish, it’s important to be able to be the best version of yourself.
