“Shannon’s warmth and southern charm always makes me feel at home”
In 1997, Shannon made the move to New York City and began an apprenticeship with John Sahag. Soon after, she began working with Beth and Carmine Minardi, of Minardi Salon NYC, one of New York’s leading salons, and quickly went from an assistant to the hair salon’s Senior Director. For 12 years, Shannon spent her time working in the salon and traveling with the Minardi team educating for hair color companies, such as Wella and Redken.
In 2008 Shannon’s desire to get back to her southern roots and a better quality of life led her to say goodbye to New York City and make a new home in downtown Austin. While in Austin, Shannon has continued working and training for JOICO Haircolor with Beth Minardi, a 25 year New York salon owner and celebrity hair colorist. In addition to this experience, Shannon has been Great Lengths hair extension certified for 10 years and is also on their Preferred Stylist list.
