In just under three hours, you can fly directly from Austin to the fabulous city of Chicago! While it may be windy, the award-winning restaurants, hotels, and endless list of activities will keep you from taking notice! As Janet has been exploring the city, she has quickly come to find a list of go-to spots in town.

The Hoxton

The Hoxton is an open-house hotel inspired by the diversity and originality of the streets and scene surrounding the city. Their goal is to inspire their guests to live like locals. With its location only 1 mile from the Willis Tower and 2 miles from Millennium Park, it makes it the perfect location to explore the city.

Cabra in The Hoxton Hotel

A rooftop restaurant in Chicago’s Fulton Market District from Boka Restaurant Group and Chef Stephanie Izard, Cabra Cevicheria celebrates vibrant flavors through Peruvian-inspired cuisine. Complete with a ceviche bar and outdoor lounge seating, Cabra offers panoramic views and an airy, lively atmosphere.

Girl & The Goat, Little Goat Diner, and Duck Duck Goat

All part of the BRG Group, getting in a visit at one of these concepts is a must! Girl & The Goat specifically was nominated for a James Beard Award yet, they all have found themselves topping the lists as the best places to go in the country!

Cloud Gate aka The Bean

Cloud Gate is a public sculpture by Indian-born British artist Sir Anish Kapoor, that is the centerpiece of AT&T Plaza at Millennium Park in the Loop community. This fun spot is a great place for a fun picture with friends or selfie.

River Boat Tours

Looping its way through the heart of the Windy City, the Chicago River flows past some of the city’s most notable architecture. Hop on one of their boats and learn all about the sky-high buildings and city.

Taking a break from traveling? No worries! Janet’s favorite spots to check out in Austin right now include: Vixen’s Wedding, Lefty’s Brick Bar, and Comedor.
