Garbo’s Lobster Rolls
Taste the best lobster roll southwest of New England. Summertime during Janet’s 16-year tenure in Manhattan often involved dodging the heat of New York City by heading to the coast. Lobster rolls along the shoreline were as much of a lure as the crashing ocean waves. Today, Janet’s favorite lobster roll is found at Garbo’s right here in Austin. The taste is authentic, and the source for the lobster is bonafide, direct from owner Heidi Garbo’s lobster distributor family, Garbo Lobster Company, based in Connecticut.
Now that our hair salon is located on 2nd Street, we are just an 8-minute walk from their Friday food truck that stops at 300 S. Congress. It’s an indulgently delicious launch to a weekend. Word has gotten out, because now they have more than one truck with stops all over the Austin area. Delicious!
